Local man charged with theft

A man has been recalled to prison following good work by our local officers.

Last week eastern neighbourhood policing team officers were on patrol in Eastfield Road when they found the 45-year-old man who was wanted for theft and recall to prison. 

After a short chase he was arrested. 

Officers believe the man has been part of anti-social behaviour in the street. 

He has since been charged and transferred to prison while he awaits trial later this year.
